The Ranch sets on 23 beautiful wooded acres about 3 miles south of Palestine, Texas. It is definitely a unique property, with an 1891 Dogtrot House that has our three Bed & Breakfast Rooms, a beautiful 1900's Chapel, Cabins and a one acre spring fed lake.
When we bought the property in 2019, we truly had no idea what we were getting into. We have run a business for the past 20 years, but nothing like this. BUT, I have to honestly say that I have learned so much and grown so much that it has been a truly amazing experience.
Life in the country is so different than life in the city. While we are still running a business, my days are now fill with wonderful chores like planting, tending, and harvesting the garden; feeding the chickens and collecting the eggs; watching the cows; just enjoying the beauty of nature and the moment. But the days are also filled with reality of 12 loads of laundry after check outs; cleaning the rooms; cleaning the chicken coop; and all sorts of day to day life things. Life in the country is really about enjoying the good moments and knowing the not so enjoyable tasks are just part of the day. But truly the most amazing part of this property is all of the wonderful people that we get to meet. The Lord has truly blessed us.
